This article discusses how more and more fields are turning to the human genome when conducting research, and some of the ethical issues inherent with working with genetic information. This looks the array of standards that have been developed for dealing with this kind of information within the genetic research community, and methods for respecting the informed consent and privacy of individuals involved in research.
