Theme: Human-Ai Interactions and the Future: Values, Responsibilities, and Freedoms
The Illinois Institute of Technology will be the venue for the 2023 conference of the International Conference on Computer Ethics: Philosophical Enquiry (CEPE 2023), which will be held on May 16-18, 2023. In order to facilitate more participation, we will also offer a virtual part of the conference on May 24, 2023. Registration to the in-person conference will automatically allow you to attend the virtual conference presentations as well.
It will be co-hosted by the Center for the Study of Ethics in the Professions and the Center for Cyber Security and Forensics Education. CEPE is a leading international conference that has played a significant role in defining the field, and is held biennially. It is organized by INSEIT in collaboration with the Ionian University Research Team, IHRC (Information: History, Regulation, and Culture).
- Philip Brey, Professor of Philosophy, Twente University
- Helen Nissenbaum, Professor of Information Science, Director, Digital Life Initiative, Cornell University
For attendees interested in also attending the IEEE-Ethics 2023 conference to be held at Purdue University in West Lafayette IN, on May 18-20th, 2023, we are looking into providing a chartered bus for individuals attending both events.
The CEPE 2023 Conference Proceedings will be published through Open Journal Systems with help from the Illinois Institute of Technology’s Galvin Library.
