Abstract
This case study provides an overview of environmental and health issues regarding the transboundary trade of hazardous substances such as chemical waste, including pesticides, which can affect humans and the environment, especially in developing countries. Readings for this case cover current work to design regulations for the proper use and trade of these substances, the different approaches used on international and national levels in designing and implementing these regulations, and teaching notes on using this case in a classroom setting.
