AbstractA researcher remembers an incident that happened in a lab he worked in that hosted a number of high school students during the school year, teaching them basic microbiological techniques.  When it turns out a high school student has been lying about actually doing research in the lab for his high school project, the researcher called the high school teacher and principle and let them know about the student's misconduct. Did he do the right thing? Includes expert commentary.
