AbstractIn 1985, Southern Pacific Transportation Company asked all of their employees to provide a urine sample and to consent to its being tested for drugs, alcohol, and medications. Barbara A Luck, who had worked with the company for six years as a computer programmer, refused to do so. The company then informed her t hat she had been relieved of all her duties for insubordination.
