This article discusses the status of professional ethics in Peru, and how, though professions are required to adopt codes of ethics, these codes are of a practical orientation and avoid theoretical definitions or preciseness. The article discusses central problems facing Peru and its professionals, and how professional ethics might help address some of these issues.
