| Abstract | The article discusses the uneasy relationship that can exist between a client and an architect because of the unique legal and ethical responsibilities architects have to their contractor, responsibilities which often appear to conflict with his duties as the owner's agent. The author gives the example of a change order that costs the owner more money, and the reasons why this order does not violate the ethical obligations of the architect to the client. |
