AbstractECE/Philosophy 316: Ethics and Engineering is a course taught by Professor Philip Hillmer of the the Department of Philosophy at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. This syllabus from the Spring 2011 includes a description of course requirements, a description of the daily reflection paper on assigned readings that students are required to complete, and requirements for the final research paper due at the end of the course. This course fulfills the advanced composition requirement for UIUC. The syllabus also includes a daily schedule of readings and assignments - including cases and readings used in the course, a short summary of guest speakers invited to speak to the class, and an example of the questions students are asked to address in their reflective writing assignments done throughout the course.
