This course, developed at taught by Dr. Robert McGinn of Stanford University's Science, Technology and Society Program, looks at the ethical issues in contemporary engineering practice. The course seeks to expose students to the kinds of ethical issues that engineers face in professional practice, to help students think more clearly about these issues, and to explore resources, strategies, and options for grappling with such conflicts. The syllabus includes major textbooks used in the class, a calendar of topics and reading materials, a list of case studies used in the course, and a summary of main class assignments.
