AbstractThis teaching module, developed to be used in conjunction was case studies developed through the International Dimensions of Ethics Education in Science and Engineering project, looks at international-level mechanisms that hold researchers, research institutes, firms and others accountable to society, and looks at issues of acocuntability in terms of innovation, self-regulation, scientific unions, corporate pressures, public and private standards, and corporation-specific campaigns and social movements.
