AbstractDiscusses two cases of students filing law suits against professors alleging misappropriation of research. Antonia Demas, an education researcher at Cornell University, who claims that David Levitsky, a member of her thesis committee misappropriated her ideas on teaching nutrition and then used them to get a research grant; Sheng-Ming Ma, a former Columbia University mathematics student,who filed a case against former department chair Duong Phong.
