| Abstract | In April 2010, Arizona Governer Jan Brewer signed a law that requires police officers, who, upon stopping someone for any other suspected legal infraction, "reasonably suspect"that their subject is in the country illegally, to demand proof that the subject is in the country legally. Those who cannot show legal documentation will be arrested and detained until their status is clarified. |
