AbstractIn 2000, a reporter from the New York Times wrote an article discussing gay and lesbian teenagers and their use of the Internet as a tool for exploring sexual identity. The article raised a number of questions, as the author conducted interviews of teenagers without the knowledge of their parents, and some critics worried thta in touting the benefits of on-line conversations for gay teens, the article may ave result of exposing naive or troubled teens to online sexual predictors.
