| Abstract | The article discusses novel ethical issues concerning nanotechnology that may arise. Health and environmental concerns are created by the unique properties of the nanoparticles and nanomaterials being exploited by scientists. Nanoenhanced tracking devices could lead to invasion of privacy. Nanotechnology presents many opportunities in medicine. The National Nanotechnology Initiative is assessing the societal implications of nanotechnology. |
