AbstractThe article presents a case study concerning the rights of a disruptive nursing home patient. The man, who is a quadriplegic, regularly accuses the nursing home staff of committing various illegal and unethical acts, and also threatens other patients. A commentary from medical ethics experts addressed the conflict that occurs between the rights of an individual and the rights of the community.
