| Abstract | The article examines the roles and obligations of physicians who work in the pharmaceutical industry in ensuring ethical behavior. Several moral misconduct issues associated with the industry are discussed. Industry physicians are reportedly faced with the challenge of conflicting roles to ensure patient welfare protection and the advancement of science in a profit-driven industry. One suggestion is to require industry physicians to complete training that researchers participating in National Institutes of Health-sponsored studies undergo. |
