AbstractAfter graduation, Frank Golden was hired as an animal care provider for a lab where HIV research was being conducted on chimpanzees. During his time there, he became very fond of the chimpanzee Vern, who developed AIDS and finally died a few years later. When Frank is asked to help infect a new, healthy chimpanzee with HIV, he is tempted to refuse, but knows if he does he might lose his job. What should he do? Includes expert commentaries.
