| Abstract | The article reports on the results of a survey of 600 academic chemists in Ph.D. granting institutions in the United States on if they had received appropriate credit in papers they had authored. Over 50% reported not receiving appropriate credit for contributions they had made to published projects, 20% had discovered that they were an author of a paper, after that paper had been submitted to a journal, and 49% had had to asked to have their name deleted as an author. |
