AbstractFor twenty years, gay hustlers have reported that a man they call the Handcuff Man, was drugging, handcuffing, and sometimes burning male prostitutes or men the thought to be prostitutes. The Atlanta Journal-Constitution newspaper decided to put these reports on the front page to galvanize the local police into acting, and named the suspected man in print before he was even arrested.
