| Abstract | While trying to gain support for an exhibit of works by young British artists, Carl Y, the director of the museum, persuades a well known British art collector to make a large donation to help his museum put on the exhibit. During the course of planning for the exhibit Carl Y makes a number of decisions that raise ethical questions when considered against the Code of Ethics of the Museum Directors' Association. A year later, you are a member of the Ethics Committee looking to revise the Code of Ethics. What recommendations would you make based off of the case you just read? |
