AbstractFor nearly 40 years, the young residents of Don Jean Bay have performed as members of a water-ski team, the Lauderdale Aqua Skiers. While long-time residents value the team as a healthy tradition, some homeowners on the lake where they practice see them as a nuisance, and are concerned about the noise made during practice, public safety when the skiers venture into no-wake zones, and that that the power boats churn up the lake bottom, causing shore erosion.
