AbstractAt a stockholder meeting for the company Halliburton, item four on the agenda was a stockholder proposal "to Develop and Adopt a Human Rights Policy" proposed by the Sisters of Charity of the Blessed Virgin who owned 100 shares in the company. The proposal stated that shareholders requested the company to review its policies on human rights and adopt and implement additional polices where needed. The Board of Directors recommended a vote against this proposal, and on the day of the meeting, the proposal was voted down.
