AbstractAs the cost as heath care in the United States continues to rise, many Americans are seeking cheaper medical treatment in foreign countries. Countries such as India and Thailand offer surgeries that can be as much as seventy to eighty percent cheaper than the same procedures in the United States. However, "medical tourism" is outside the reach of many working class Americans, and this practice does not lower the cost of heath care in the United States.
