AbstractA graduate assistant in an Introductory Sociology class is extremely friendly and goes out of his way to be available to students who has questions. He also informs one of the female students in the class that he is "available" and if she is ever "interested" she should let him know. The student reports this as sexual harassment, and the graduate student claims he did not know that there was any problem with this, as he is single and well-intentioned towards the female student. What should be done by his supervisor in this situation? Includes expert commentary.
