AbstractThe non-profit company Strategeion has a mission statement "leave no one behind" and has developed a number of apps over the years that have an open-source model. The company also has a commitment to hiring military veterans and after their human resources department is overwelmed with resumes, the company develops an application that uses natural language processing and machine learning to look for markers in resumes that distinguish the best candidates. However, questiosn are raised when a highly qualifiedcandidate with a physical disability is passed over due to a quirk in the algorithum used to rate candidates.
