AbstractThe article discusses the effectiveness of using active learning approaches in the engineering education community. The authors argue that the questions regarding the effectiveness of active learning have already been sufficiently answered by most types of students in terms of learning improvement. Frameworks for active learning in engineering education including interactive-constructive-active-passive framework and knowledge integration framework are also recommended.
