AbstractSyllabus for an environmental ethics and policy course developed and taught by Dr. David Rothenberg. The course focuses on contemporary environmental problems from the perspectives of ethics and moral philosophy. It looks at the ethical presumptions and values underlying environmental policy, if traditional theories of moral philosophy are applicable to contemporary environmental problems, or if a new conception of the relationship between humans and nature is needed. The syllabus includes the goals of the course, a detailed course reading list, and class schedule. This is a graduate level course.
