| Abstract | Well-replicated experimental results indicate that students learn more when they work closely with each other in small groups in or out of class. The author provides twelve ways of getting students to philosophize together. Given the dialectical nature of philosophical understanding, for many students it may be in such small groups that they will best feel the force of the positions, alternatives and arguments. |
