AbstractIn 2012, the pharmaceutical company spent over $24 billion dollars marketing drugs directly to physicians. Observers worry that doctors, who often receive food, entertainment, or travel from the pharmaceutical industry, are unable to be objective in perscribing drugs under this marketing influence.
