Abstract

Expert witnesses, such as engineers, often are hired by lawyers to provide evidence in support of his client's accident claim. While expert witnesses are usually offered a flat fee for services, there is a temptation to leave out information in a report so the expert witness can charge a further fee for further clarifying calculations or explanations.
