Abstract

Neal is a metallurgical engineer for Diamond Steel Inc. who negotiating a contract with a consumer appliance company to make the cores for a new design of a basic electronic motor used in appliances manufactured by the company. When issues come up where the specifications for the steel written by the Research and Design Center of the appliance company conflict with the recommendations of the company's Motor Production Facility, Neal is caught in the middle and must decide whose specifications he should follow. Includes ethical and numerical questions about the case.
