Abstract

Along with using online pedagogical materials for engineering ethics instruction, the author emphasizes the need for students to learn about ethical decision-making in broader social contexts. The author describes some approaches instructors can take to teach ethics at the macro level by creating their own textbooks and using asynchronous chat to get students discussing ethical issues among themselves.
