AbstractThe article discusses how online education could contribute to an ethics education course or university-wide program. It compares two ethics education programs that were developed by Indiana and Western Michigan Universities, and concludes, that while online discussions, case studies, and tutorials can be extremely helpful supplemental materials, they should not replace face-to-face discussions about scientific research ethics.
