AbstractThis article discusses the use of an honor code in the School of Engineering at Grand Valley State University. In the program, the honor code is considered an integral part of students' preparation to become engineers. The paper discusses how the honor code influences the cultural context in which engineering is taught, and how the program seeks to teach ethics as an engineer's way of life.
