AbstractThe Student Loan Forgiveness Act, which was submitted to Congress in 2012 by Michigan Congressman Hansen Clarke, is intended to lesson the crippling amount of debt that some students have incurred by pursuing higher education in a tough job market. The bill would go a long way towards lessening the burden on borrowers. However, not everyone is thrilled with the idea of bailing out struggling students.
