| Abstract | This paper calls for a shift of attention in engineering ethics to the positive in engineering practice from its current focus on wrongdoing and case studies that emphasize the disastrous consequences of wrongdoing. This shift highlights the resulting need to address questions of character and imagination of professional engineers, and the need to foster these traits in engineering students. |
