| Abstract | The the authors of this paper did a survey of the web sites of fifty high-impact journals and surveys a number of editors on their policies about research misconduct in submitted or published manuscripts. They found that only a few have adopted formal standards for dealing with misconduct questions. The adoption and public availability of these policies may be a deterrent to scientific research misconduct, the authors conclude. |
