AbstractThe company Calico, owned and founded by Google, has a stated goal of extending human life and enabling a more active life for humans as they age. Ethicist Daniel Callahan is not so optimistic about Calico's mission, worrying that quick advances in extending life may not allow us enough time to assess the benefits and harms of this kind of research.
