| Abstract | Mayor Mike Widner, mayor of West Valley City, Utah, felt that the local paper was not writing enough positive articles about his city, so he decided to submit his own stories under a fake name - Richard Burwash. Using his alias, he wrote more than a dozen articles, sometimes quoting himself. When discovered, the mayor did not apologize for his actions, but apologized for using the name and photo of the real Richard Burwash. |
