AbstractThis document lays out a set of guidelines for journal editors whose journals are thought to have published manuscripts that might be the result of scientific misconduct. The guidelines discuss the role of the editor in reporting suspected misconduct, collaborating with institutions investigating the allegations of misconduct, to working improve the correction of the literature, and in promoting scientific integrity.
