AbstractUnder three grants from the National Science Foundation (1990-2005), we at IIT's Center for the Study of Ethics in the Professions held summer workshops on how to integrate professional ethics into technical courses. More than a 160 faculty "graduated". During those years, we learned a good deal about workshops. This paper reports what we learned, especially, what we learned about recruiting participants, structure of workshops, general administration, and using the workshops for research. Though this is not a philosophy paper, it is a paper for philosophers thinking about undertaking a workshop.
