The author found that because of the scanty covering of this topic, students are unlikely to learn much about research ethics, and will very rarely be exposed to arguments opposing deceptive research. Overall the texts reviewed did discuss research ethics, and devoted space to more specific principles, though they did not thoroughly explain research participants' rights to not be coerced into a study, to decline participating in a study, or to withdraw. </style>
<notes><style face="normal" font="default" size="100%">Korn, James H. 1; Affiliation: 1: Saint Louis University; Source Info: Oct1984, Vol. 11 Issue 3, p146; Subject Term: TEXTBOOKS; Subject Term: PSYCHOLOGY – Study &amp; teaching; Subject Term: SOCIAL psychology; Subject Term: PSYCHOLOGY – Research; Subject Term: HANDBOOKS, vade-mecums, etc.; Subject Term: STUDY &amp; teaching; NAICS/Industry Codes: 541720 Research and Development in the Social Sciences and Humanities; Number of Pages: 4p; Illustrations: 1 chart; Document Type: Article</style></notes></record></records></xml>
