After discussing reasons for taking this approach, the author looks at two ways to address volitional aspects, first through virtue ethics, and second to use various processes such as research, design, negotiation, and decision-making, as a forum for teaching. This kind of approach can be used to indirectly reveal the functionality and dysfunctionality of different attitudes to the students. </style>
<notes><style face="normal" font="default" size="100%">Heikkerö, T. 1; Affiliation: 1: University of Helsinki, Finland; Source Info: May2008, Vol. 33 Issue 2, p161; Subject Term: ENGINEERING; Subject Term: SOCIAL responsibility; Subject Term: ENGINEERING ethics; Subject Term: VIRTUE; Subject Term: ETHICS; Subject Term: ENGINEERING – Study &amp; teaching; Subject Term: TEACHING; Subject Term: CURRICULA; Author-Supplied Keyword: engineering education; Author-Supplied Keyword: engineering ethics; Author-Supplied Keyword: motivation; Author-Supplied Keyword: social responsibility; Author-Supplied Keyword: virtue ethics; Author-Supplied Keyword: volition; Number of Pages: 8p; Document Type: Article</style></notes></record></records></xml>
