The author calls for the establishment of a government-wide definition of scientific misconduct, for immunity to be provided from lawsuits for institutions that follow proper procedures in investigating charges of scientific misconduct, and participating in the development of international guidelines for maintaining scientific integrity.</style></abstract><doi><style face="normal" font="default" size="100%">10.1007/s11948-999-0020-y</style></doi><issue><style face="normal" font="default" size="100%">2</style></issue><accession-num><style face="normal" font="default" size="100%">11657869</style></accession-num></record></records></xml>
