Information includes includes names, addresses, phone numbers, grade point averages, ethnicity, and interest in college.  Added to that information BeNow compiles will be information from commercial sources, state drivers' license records, and other government databases, though usually not from the individuals listed.  The Pentagon believes that this database will help recruiters target their approaches to individuals.  Critics claim the development of this database is directly against the 1974 Privacy act that specifies that when the government collects data on individuals, the individual must supply the data or be notified that it is being compiled.
