In 2008, she co-sponsored the Ag-Jobs bill which would have given temporary legal status to 1.3 million undocumented farm workers over the next five years. The bill would have helped supply a much-needed labor force for the agriculture industry, and was hailed as  a &quot;critical but temporary fix to a much larger problem&quot; by one newspaper article.   Other groups, however, are opposed to immigration reform of this kind, saying that it would take away jobs from American Citizens and drive down wages.</style></abstract><notes><style face="normal" font="default" size="100%">Case Study from the 2009 National Ethics Bowl.
