During the 2008 presidential election,  a number of major news agencies fell victim to fictitious information and  quotes that were created in an attempt to get air time and notoriety.   A film crew created a face YouTube video of the fictitious pundit, Martin Eisenstadt, who claimed to be a McCain Policy Advisor and the source for a leak in the campaign.  Many news agencies, such as Time and CNN quoted the fake pundit in a number of their stories.</style></abstract><notes><style face="normal" font="default" size="100%">Case Study from the 2009 Regional Ethics Bowl.
