The authors discuss how the stresses of the research working environment may have detrimental effects on scientists' work, and looks at some possible ways that the research environment could be changed to alleviate some of these stresses. </style></abstract><doi><style face="normal" font="default" size="100%">10.1038/435737a</style></doi></record></records></xml>
