Of the over 400 individuals surveyed, about half were aware of publication and authorship guideline, and half were unaware or had not referred to the guidelines. The equal distribution of guideline awareness and use, when considered with regard to career development and achievement provided the authors with the ability to suggest that based on these results, the awareness of guidelines are only modestly associated with more ethically sound judgments in the areas of authorship and publication. </style>
<doi><style face="normal" font="default" size="100%">10.1080/08989620500217321</style></doi><notes><style face="normal" font="default" size="100%">Barrett, Kirsten 1; Funk, Carolyn 1; Macrina, Francis 1; Email Address: macrina@vcu.edu; Affiliations: 1: Virginia Commonwealth University, Richmond, Virginia, USA; Issue Info: Jul-Sep2005, Vol. 12 Issue 3, p193; Thesaurus Term: RESEARCH; Thesaurus Term: CAREER development; Subject Term: ETHICS; Subject Term: JUDGMENT; Subject Term: MORAL &amp; ethical aspects; Subject Term: SURVEYS; Author-Supplied Keyword: authorship and publication; Author-Supplied Keyword: authorship guidelines; Author-Supplied Keyword: NIH F32 postdoctoral fellows; Author-Supplied Keyword: responsible conduct of research instruction; NAICS/Industry Codes: 611430 Professional and Management Development Training; NAICS/Industry Codes: 624310 Vocational Rehabilitation Services; Number of Pages: 14p; Illustrations: 4 charts, 1 diagram; Document Type: Article</style></notes></record></records></xml>
