AbstractThis is a collection of case studies covering ethical dilemmas drawn from personal and professional experience, and media accounts. The cases were developed for the Ethics Bowl, a competition similar to College Bowl where teams of undergraduate students are asked to answer questions about an ethics case study. Each case in the volume is followed by commentary from three different viewpoints, a commentator arguing for a particular solution, a commentator who argues against this solution, and a third commentator who looks at the shortfalls of the following two arguments and gives an expanded analysis of the situation and a third, morally acceptable solution. The volume contains two readings on ethical theory and moral decision-making, the texts of forty cases used in Ethics Bowl competitions, and the history and rules of the Intercollegiate Ethics Bowl.
